How will noise mitigation be addressed?

There are several approaches to noise mitigation in order to maintain an appropriate educational environment.

  • Phases of the work are being set up so that work areas are separated from occupied areas by vertical barriers, ie: work will not take placed on floors directly above or below occupied student areas in nearly all cases.  Vertical barriers will have sound dampening materials to reduce noise.
  • Very loud work activities will be scheduled before or after school, on weekends, breaks and summers.
    • No loud noise days will be set in the contract for special exam and MCAS days.
